I share some of those but this brief visit showed me a different Penang. <br />Very much like KL with a twin tower very much like the Petronas tower and full of luxury condos going up high in the sky. Even the smiling brown faces we used to know have all but disappeared into some remote areas. Old traditional Malay houses have been bought over by government and passed on to those who can pay for the new prices. A nostalgic visit can be a sad one, not seeing any more of the old pictures inj our mind.. <br /><br />To me Penang is the ferry ride, the Weld Quay and of course the food stalls by the esplanade.
